Southside Baptist Church Staff
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor David Klinedinst
Sr. Pastor
Pastor David was called to Southside Baptist Church in the summer of 2020. He grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and came to the Lord while serving on a Missions Trip with his youth group in 1999. In 2005 he earned a degree in philosophy from Liberty University and married his high school sweetheart, Emily. They have three awesome kids: Madelyn,  Haydn, and Ryland. He graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte and has spent over a decade in ministry serving in urban church revitalization.  In college Pastor David was on the debate team and still loves participating in childish arguments about petty things. He enjoys reading about the big issues of life: theology, philosophy, etc., but also enjoys the smaller stuff like building a good fire and having a better cup of coffee while watching cartoons with the kids. You can usually catch him on his down time lost in his thoughts either with a book, or on a great day, fishing.

Southside welcomes Dolly Drawdy as our church secretary.  Dolly will be fulfilling the duties of church secretary and you’ll likely interact with her anytime you call or visit the church office!

When you can find her she is at the beach soaking up the sounds of the waves.

Emmalee Rudd
Worship Leader

Emmalee grew up in Barnegat, New Jersey, and earned her Bachelors in Music Education with a minor in Church Music at University of Valley Forge in Pennsylvania in 2019. She married her wonderful husband, Austin, in 2020, and in 2021, they moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania. Emmalee is a passionate musician with over a decade of experience in music performance and leadership, and over three years of experience in full time music education. Music ministry is the cornerstone of who she is professionally, and she finds deep joy in worshiping the Lord through music, and helping others do so, too. Emmalee loves opportunities to be creative and artistic. She often does home improvement projects with her husband and enjoys gardening on their property. She likes to relax by spending time in God’s creation, (the beach!), especially on the water in a canoe or stand up paddle board. Most of all, Emmalee loves traveling to spend time with her family.
